I can’t remember if I posted this one. I’ve hinted at it a bit: I mostly play Yaoguais since 2.0 hit the fan like the proverbial sh!t. I just can’t be bothered. Similar to Doc’s pink elephant, this is my “I gave up on the game” car.
And I’m going to take you through a typical game with it, because it illustrates why this game has… its reputation. I just launched a game, hit a few screenshots.
Try athenas at 9k cleb. You can make a fun build that isnt pure meta brick and do well with it. Takes skill, but thats where the satisfaction comes from.
Thanks. They look fun, but honestly a pair of Athenas is really expensive here, and I’m currently quite broke because of some less-than ideal investments
I have some Astraeus to try tho. I’ll build something quickly.
Oh hell yeah man, when those MG hovers are out en mass I bust out the Athena to strip them down. It’s great watching their guns ping off even inside their little V hovers.
I really like the new structure parts. I’m probably going to be hooked on that Impact Bumper because it lets me mount headlamps to it and protects them well. All of them I like though, and they seem to be well considered and designed, as well as good to look at.
That build is an attempt to use a drone the way they were initially intended; as a support weapon. Drones are still too stupid, IMO, and their awareness needs a buff, but this is working well enough that I think if I fused the Sidekick in the trunk I might have more fun. Moving up to a Grenadier would put it out of it’s league, I think. It would get pwnd if it was any higher in power-score, probably…gets pwnd occasionally anyway, but then everything does eventually.
Still tinkering with this one. It does better than I had expected, so I’ve kept it around and made some small improvements. This one is usually fun no matter what, but I’m still not set on the paint.
Maybe, I like it better in Cyan?
This one I’m still tinkering with and has been fun.
I think that is going to be my signature colors; Leaf fall (or insert color of the day), Burnished Steel, and that Checkered paint I won…I love that schit.
This is me being angry that my Bat CK just makes it look like the Hotrod.
I thought it was a CK for the Hotrod when I bought it. oops, whatever.
Still lovin’ it. This is the game I want to play, and I felt like they took away from me at level 30 Engineers and beyond.
God, I missed my Thug. That build (not a seal club?) sits at just about 2.7K. I took it out once and got MVP-PVP. I’m sure the matchmaker will calibrate a little for that, and the next match might be more difficult, but I’m good with that, and so far it’s allowed me to play competitively in PVP with teams at power-scores that are pretty dmn close to each other, relatively.
I’m enjoying the helloutta it, and have been for about a week now. I think it’s time to reward the developers by putting some quarters in the slot. I’m happy to pay to play a game I actually enjoy, and feel a bit obliged to, just for the sake of honor, to encourage the developers to keep up the good work, and as a gratuity beyond just just saying, thanks…but also, thanks, Devs.
This game changes like the wind. My opinions are my opinions, and subject to change whenever I see fit. I don’t feel bad about it at all…but ya, I can be moody too. I know.
I deserved it. I’ll own it. It’s undeniable…but I’ll defend my right to be moody anyway, especially in regards to this game, because, ya I’m lovin’ it right now, but gddmnit they will change schit in the future to gank all my joy…I’ll be sure to share those moments with you guys too. You can count on it…and tease me for it too. No hard feelings.
Thanks. I actually didn’t think I could get the Hot Rod to work, and was surprised at how brutal it was. I had basically written that cab off, like so many others.
I think the Stallions make it work. It helps that wheels are in a better spot today, but the Stallions are strong and spirited, and I can turn 180 degrees almost instantly with a flick or two of my little pinky finger. With everybody else on omni-directional movement parts, it’s been pretty handy.
Plus, I get a lot of melee bricks at this power-score, and it really helps me to get behind them.
Mostly, I just like fender skirts, and retro-future sci-fi.
My first impulse, once I realized I could actually kill schit with it, was to go and update all the gear to the next level (go up to maces, Leech, etc)…but why? It works like it is. I might fuse more of the gear already on it though…if it still works tomorrow. I’m hopeful the game will continue to work for me and my methods, but I’m not holding my breath.
It’s been dark in my little corner of the Wasteland for a long time now. I’m glad things seem to have changed.
Heard all the chatter about the low ps being fun again, so, took about 40 minutes to check things out. Hopped in my Viper (double Sinus) and had some great rounds! I gotta say, it’s feeling rounded really nice.
I personally have always found the 2499PS range to easy. It don’t even feel like I’m playing Crossout.
It’s a weird matchbox XO arcade shooter.
IMO this is why many people uninstall the game in the first day or two. The beginning of the game feels completely different. So if you like the start of the game your going to hate the rest. And you may never know if you like the end game because they will never get there before uninstall.
I always thought that starter cars should be 5k - then we go up from there.
But in closing - if your having fun that is awesome!
