Shameless self-promotion here:
I got a trading card version of crossout plus several other games like Street Fighter 2 and Top Gun available if anyone’s interested. Just send me a message for the link.

I recently saw a beautiful program where they discussed the fact that people are addicted to games where it is possible to buy game items. That is, develop an addiction to games where you buy things. And it is proven that you will develop an addiction to this too. Sort of like slot machines. And those who defend it are like an alcoholic who does not want to admit that he has a problem.
toxic players ruining the games. becoming devs. bullying online. games exploits . playing pay to win. infecting pcs of wictims. etc
Welcome to the forum
The funny and ironic thing is that since the last update, I seem to be having more fun on XO than I have in a long time.
The MM is still absurd, the bots in hard raids are insane, the UI is trash… etc etc etc… but you know what, underneath the bondo covered hood of this hulking game is something very unique and crazy fun if you’re willing to play for fun instead of… well… whatever these angry peeps are doing.
I mean, if you can’t have fun in this game, I kinda’ feel sorry for you.
Take a step back & don’t take it so seriously…
I actually enjoy that sometimes though. Using others as meat shields is where it’s at!
It’s more fun to go exercise. And then play Half Life
Or Elite jj I love the universe.
Don’t forget posting on the forum. Need to set aside time for that too!
I must be a simple guy, I have a blast building random crap and testing it out on the bots in my garage and building new locations in my garage, and thinking up lore for them, half the time most of the time I spend in my garage the other have is doing the weekly/dailies tasks, I, also sometimes bring my Frankenstein monstrosities into battle
The flows sometimes when I do, especially if I kill people with them
An alcoholic that doesn’t admit he/she has a problem is still an addict. I believe the term you are looking for is “enabler”.
Why people compare 2 different models without listing the pros and cons?
The old full game wasn’t build for constant expansions. Once they are out, it wont be a full team working on it anymore. Yeah, there be patches to re-balance and iron out the bugs. It might got add-on which may cost as much as the full game.
The newer free to play model let players enter some or most its game modes. Some have greater restrictions than others. The idea is we all can try the game before we decide it is fun for us or not, and the game company hope that players willing to pay in to unlock some goods or game modes. The non pay players may have to spend much play time to able to unlock the same parts. Unless you are a top rate e-sport players, some parts may take a long, long time. Knowing this, how deep do we want to be in a game we do play. When we play a game, do we needed every items and do we play all the game modes?
We all know about full price games. We can compare full price games on PC and their counter part part on consoles. Over the years the constant of game companies want to sell the games and players wanted to by pass to pay the full price for them never stop. Now days many games given a registering code which is only good for once.
The way we view game contains can change.
The old full price game we pay and have everything unlock-able. Without cheats, many the parts or levels we weren’t able to unlock or open. Even though we have them and paid for them, they are still unavailable to us. This is no different to parts on free to play games that would take too many game hours to unlock.
I can see one issue on this. There are players feel that they should able to unlock everything. If possession is what a player look for, then, the enjoyment level would be slow to a stop at near 85% of this game for most. The rest, be it in a way of game hour input or real money to exchange or both.
People we have on the forum over the years. Telling us the game is NOT good, yet, they spend all day playing it. The game costing too much, yet, there are many players play it for free. The game was good util a patch or a chance, but others don’t agree. The game move on, some people don’t!
There are so many games on all platforms cost nothing but our time to play. Is it that hard to find one that we want to spend our time to enjoy it or them?
Good points, Chop
Patents… What do you call a person who is addicted to a forum for a game they say they hate and don’t play? Rhetorical question.
Nobody here “hates” XO. When the person you love fucks up, you tell em. When someone you hate fucks up, you do nothing because you’re far far away from the sucky person anyway.
I dunno, dude… he says he hates the game, and trolls the forum, so…
Funny thing comparing XO to relations))
Irl it would be this:
The 1st person(xo) “loves” you for money, and tries to extort a bunch at any chance, perhaps there is some sympathy towards community and doing something good, but mostly it’s a team of professionals working for money.
2nd (player) uses 1st because it could use some leisure and can’t find better option than 1st.
Love here doesn’t really apply does it?
That’s why XO is getting no money from me lol. It has potential, it just needs to stop thinking I’m stupid and a walking wallet UwU
Maybe Targem can start by updating the game more than twice/year… And revert the lighters crap… and go back to permanent crafting recipes… Damn, so many things went wrong xD
I’m not stupid. And I paid a lot in this game. I just still like it for what it is and appreciate what it provides.
Seen bunch of guys like you. You greedy and tiny bit stupid that’s all. You spent your time - that’s more valuable than money. Pouring some money to make that spent time more enjoyable is only logical.
Give you for free what they try to make money from
