Confrontation balance

A lot of the build concepts I’ve been toying with are not ones I’d normally play in the rest of the game. Even my flame build is a little different

not that were doing show and tell but I removed much of the hover defense bits as I’m not seeing them in the mode.

Something similar is why I downloaded a couple of similar games. I couldn’t really do anything in crossout at the time. I’m glad I did. It broke my cycle or rhythm of playing crossout when I have time. I haven’t played in days.

It is a clan wars day.

Confrontation skips the time of clan wars.

Your killing me with the 8998  lol (I know it’s a weirdness, but whatever)

Put the 2 PS armor piece on that build and finish it out.

I liked the number so I left it.

@60915652 You can see how many common build structures I left out though just on the front.

There are two things I don’t like about the new Confrontation: first, I don’t like that it is forcing people to go along with the meta. A major part of what attracts me to the game is building my own vehicles using my own designs, regardless if they’re efficient or not. In fact, I’m somewhat of a glutton for trying to make work all the “horrible” weapons and movement parts. I also prioritize aesthetics over efficiency and work within that limitation. So maybe I’ll win 1 out of every 10 matches as I get completely annihilated by omni-shotgun-wedges and dual-Punisher-hovers.

The other thing I don’t like about the new format is that it’s open for about 20 minutes by the time I get home from work. Then it doesn’t reopen until just before I need to go to bed for work the next day. So I get in 2 matches, 3 if I’m lucky. Pretty frustrating.

I see it as a punishment type of game in some cases where you have to adopt the latest stratagems to get a foothold. I can’t get mad about doing it this way because it’s more realistic in some senses.

I really enjoy trying to do that too, but it doesn’t always work.

Normally the same for me too.

or…or
the player just give up from playing and starts playing even more casual, it’s like water, the water moves trough the least resistant path.
the easiest way is to simple don’t chase the Meta, play a few games from time to time.
No way in hell i can even start going against a clan and META.
The only active member in my clan is me
I like my builds but they aren’t prepare for a clan environment, i don’t even know how to build a Meta build.
Even if i bin my clan (literally my clan) and go to another clan, i don’t have time for that.
But forget all of that.
Even if i wanted to play clan battles, how do i get myself up to speed? since badges rewards were simply pulverized .
Badges for raw materials were an important part of my progression
I’m simply stuck where i am

or play a different game completely,

You’re welcome to come join me I’m on PC too. The band has 2 open spots before I kick the inactive player that I don’t know. I can make it a clan later.

I keep hearing people say this.

It’s just not true. I build ALL of my own builds for this mode. And even though you might do better with a META style build many other builds work. (You don’t have to be MVP to win)

You can find over 20 of my public builds in the post linked below. Some of those builds are just trash for this mode, BUT I can win games with every single one of them.

Also, I do plan to build some budget builds and post them as well. (Sorry - Xbox only)

It’s kind of ashamed that with all the work with crossplay that they said they’ve put in they could get exhibition sharing to work first.

Agreed! Even if that was the only thing that crossed it would help.

I think it would be a very good first step and all it really takes is some database work.

Edit: I don’t mean it to sound simple though

They could even merge the database when they did patches.

It wouldn’t be real time crossplay, but everyone would have access to so much more.

They should be able to do it real-time but it would take large changes and there might be some (player) name issues to go over too.

Sounds to me like you’re taking the right approach with what you have. As you said, it’s just down to who you’ve got on your team, and who you’re up against. Sometimes it’s a long losing streak, sometimes it’s all wins, sometimes it’s a mix. Just keep playing, and the points accumulate.
It’s kind of like wrestling, where you get paid for losing too, as long as you put on a good show.

Don’t forget the new cash only wheels that negate the omamori, the omamori’s nerf, and the new levi-killing gun.
If you don’t pay for those parts… well… piss off, I suppose.

It’s full on pay to win, now.

This will only get worse, I’m afraid.

I like the Atoms aesthetically, and I’m generally OK to pay cash for Team Igor’s developments in the art department (I do like their art), but what yet another omnidirectional movement part does to this game, I’m not sure I’m crazy about.

They can be bought on the market for coins too, so there is a work around for that, but ya, they have ratcheted up the pay to play aspect considerably…while tanking the fun factor to no small degree as well, which seems counterintuitive, doesn’t it? If they wanted me to pay them for entertainment, shouldn’t it be entertaining?

Kathleen Kennedy says, no.

Also, they seemed to have ganked the coins from the “lite” version and bumped it’s price up too, if I’m not mistaken.

IMO, that’s all it’s done for the last eight months.

They are advertising three open positions as developers at the Targem website, so maybe with some luck the right kid will bring some proper ideas or talent on board and maybe things will shape up.

IDK. I count on Poony4u to do the optimism here. That’s not really my thing. PTSD is my thing and the only reason I’m awake at this hour. I’m doing good to not make the news in a shocking attack on Wells Fargo employees.
