How to fix the game

Summary of proposed fixes because the game is in a bad state:

  • Add sustainable monetization
    • Balance items / build types properly (remove P2W parts)
    • Make all items craftable
    • Make fusing more fair (increase PS, reduce benefits)
    • Add purchasable cosmetics for pretty much everything (items, player profiles, etc…)
  • Balancing
    • Nerf close range builds so that theyre not a win condition
    • Either reduce the sharp divide between weapon rarities, or with enough players, make PS actually matter (in MM, CW, etc).
The balance of relics and dog builds is like rock paper scissors, except rock costs $100 while paper costs $1,000 and both are immune to scissors (being the rest of the game)
    • Stop adding moneygrab weapons (custom quasar, elephant, BP weapons, raijin, etc)
  • Get players
    • Advertise the game
    • Stop cycling gamemodes or having nonsensical arbitrary time windows (CC / BFU, CW)
    • Actually reward players for playing - everyone should get uranium, instead of only those who already have it
    • Stop pushing low quality gamemodes as the default (mech / rotor missions)
    • Cycle all maps in all gamemodes, instead of random limited selections
    • Remove unneeded features (like mouse aim, because who needs it apart from unskilled players who are reaping the benefits of hovers?)

It wouldn’t be cost effective to remove parts, they have to go with straight balancing.

Suggested multiple times.

I’d like a PS increase for them, not for reduced benefits but just because of the gains. I don’t want to reduce stuff I want fair values.

Right now this is being introduced via events and bp. Do you want them to fill out the cosmetic market more than the rest of the game? The cheapest route for them is to do a few each bp or event and put them in the store.

You can kill them but it’s hard. If someone blew a flamethrower at you’d be pretty dead. So your basically saying you want it to be less realistic for flame weapons.

I think we could do better than that ELO with Rarity gating, Rare and below, epic and below and so on up to full open. Your reward would degrade based on the limitations imposed to keep up with players that risk more.

You need to explain this better. I don’t buy or own relics from what I understand they are only balanced via pvp data, so their rarity might impact that.

They can do this all they want as long as it gets into the core game eventually, I’d call it test marketing.

This is a good point, I hate waiting for a game mode to come up.

You should earn it but it shouldn’t be limited as much as it is. I only have 13 pieces but even with those I’d say no earn it even though its less money than my mistakes make on the market.

They could do better with the maps

You just don’t like them so you don’t appreciate them. If your not going to make controls better don’t delete stuff referring to them.

i mean actually add proper cosmetics, like push out multiple skins per item for all items, and introduce brand new cosmetics for things like the player name card, etc.
they need to give players something to spend money on, otherwise its useless

well, flying machines with railguns and invisibility arent too realistic either.
and i bet flamethrowers would do a lot less short-term damage IRL than they do ingame

there is only one sort of meta in CW (or generally pvp) which is relics vs dogs.
relics might be balanced against each other, but they always face lower rarity weapons

i dont appreciate them because theyre bad, they make gameplay into a literal first-person shooter and its stupid, its a vehicle combat game, not overwatch.
if the vehicle always faces where you aim, why even have rotating weapons.

I asked for this too but said they could do it on the cheap putting out a few every couple bps then adding them to the store.

Is anything we do not actually comical in some way. Look at how far we can jump a build… The game is just supposed to be fun.

Those areas are for the more competitive people no-one really needs to dwell there unless they want to. The locker room in there probably smells bad too. BFU kind of got uranium a little out of that jockstrap area. They cried a lot giving just a little bit a way.

It’s a third person shooter unless you’re using a scope and then if you get entrapped someone will get you from a flank…

It’s locking into build type outside of bombers which arial craft has rotating guns?

At this point, it should just die. The ā€˜devs’ in charge have been milking this game for years, doing the bare minimum when it comes to Crossout. When was the last time you saw ANY change in Crossout for the better? I’m not talking some ā€˜balance changes’ or some hot fix. I’m talking about a real attempt to make Crossout great instead of turning it into a money driven cesspool.

excluding updates that count as filling a pointless quota, there have been zero beneficial updates in the last 3 years

You guys are like grumpy old curmudgeons much of the game is probably fixable and your like just take old yeller out in the back yard and put it down already. lol…

fixable only with competent developers, and it seems like those will never come

Tell that to the so-called ā€˜devs’, they had literal years to fix things. Instead they chose the complete opposite of making things better, matter of fact I’ve heard a Vet or two tell me that relics were more accessible back in the old days of Crossout. Simple gamemodes like Adventure mode had way better stuff you could get than what you get from there nowadays, to me that is night and day difference. And unless the ā€˜devs’ either sell Crossout’s IP to somebody competent or cut off whatever the absolute anchor of whoever is pushing this nonsensical downgrading of Crossout’s quality over the years it ain’t gonna improve. Don’t get me wrong, I wanna see this game evolve and grow into something amazing. But somethings gotta change in the Dev-team and/or studio, this is not sustainable for Crossout.
