Players are leaving this game. Why probably?

Asking ppl about their thoughts and asking about clarification isnt bad, this is how the conversation takes place.

If that’s the case how did I do anything wrong then?

I’m telling you right now your’re lucky to have @145971359 as a mod I wouldn’t be as nice.

So you edited your response because you couldn’t find anything?

Wow. This thread really took off fast.

I like the bots. I consistently have better luck teaming up with them than real players in PVP.

This. Very this, but also, I like to let the cannon bot pick targets which I then will either intercept, or ambush when he rushes the bot.

As a lone random in low ps, I find the bots are often much better team players. They are such better players that I sometimes panic when there are none, because I fear all the organics are going to scatter into different directions and get themselves deleted. They do that a lot. Not always, but often. Also the builds organics use are often very wonky and ineffective.

I think the bots are in game for more reasons than just fill up the roster, like keeping matches focused and on track, and setting the bar on how bad a team can feasibly be. I also think a few of them offer themselves up as potential (but not free) kills to help kids complete challenges, that way PVP isn’t a complete loss when you get steamrolled by organized kill squads.

I like the Bot to player ratio they use in PVP. Plus, at low ps they have cool looking builds, and I like the ambiance they bring. I very much appreciate the improvements bots have seen as of late…although I heard they walked a little of that back just recently, as far a accuracy goes. I was sorry to hear that, and haven’t seen that for myself yet.

#BotLivesMatter

As for the thread’s actual topic, I think the premise needs to be established as fact before it can reasonably be considered. I know people are upset by the latest developments (me too) but I’m not sure a significant drop in players can be demonstrated.

I think the numbers are hard to acquire to support the OP. I’m not saying it isn’t so, as much as I’m saying the numbers are buried and difficult to demonstrate. The Steam Chart seems unreliable due to dramatic, bizarre, and unexplained recent behavior, and so I don’t trust them easily anymore.

I just got 4 strike downs your just a nut case and a thought I was being nice.

This is kind of what you get when you ask for forum moderators to strep in.

Not my issues lol…

When I play my art builds at ~5000 PS - no problem. Things feel as usual.
But when I take my 6300 build - I actually see what’s all the fuss about.
First and main - I got balanced vs 7…8…9000 PS bots.
And secondly, they run almost meta builds now.
There is nothing OP about them except bigger PS range on patrol than pvp, which is also fine, but playing vs bots with elevated PS and met-ish builds now takes some care as they can easily pour some heavy fire. So it’s not their accuracy. It’s builds and PS rating that makes it tougher. Low PS is just as cakewalk as it was… maybe a tiny but harder with more efficient bot builds than before.

Though I’m not likely to leave permanently, the reason I log off the most lately is because Confrontation Mode is not available. That is the single largest reason I don’t play. The game feels tied up in a mode that is never available, even if that’s not entirely true.

My overall disinterest in clans plays a major part in why I am no longer an active player, and more of a forum queen than wasteland survivor.

This game is no longer competing with my desire to flap my fingers, and I’d now rather be in a toxic chat forum than this deformed game.

I’m looking forward with what feels like a fools hope that it will eventually get the update it needs.

I fail to get in to it most of the time too.

It’s not that complicated:
Matches that are all humans are more unpredictable, and for me that’s a more interesting challenge.
I do not find bots particularly challenging, although once in a while they kill me.
I don’t hate bots, and I’ve even made topics defending them. But when I’m in the mood for bots, I play patrol.
Doesn’t ruin PVP for me if there are bots, but it’s more exciting without them.

I do what I usually do. Pvp, some bit of pve, maybe patrol to get rid of dailies without spoling my mood with toxic side of pvp when I’m not ready for it.
The game is the same and there is not problem for people to do what they been doing before. I barely understand all this whiners… plus weeklies are coming.

Players die of like flies every other battle.

Leaving me with “interesting challenge” of taking down 5-8 enemies to win(which is only few times was success).
So I’d rather settle with less of their “unpredictfullness” and more with a challenge to win with more possible odds.

We all enjoy this game in different ways.
I like the chaos of all-human matches the most. You don’t. All good.

This fool is looking forward to that.

Yes, very this.

I think the bots provide a more stable and playable PVP environment. I think that’s sad but true.

If they’d make that Confrontation mode reasonably available, we could maybe have our cake and eat it too. I’d like that, because I did get a kick out of the 4x4 format…that one time last week I actually managed have access to it and play it.
